Rockridge 4wd knows the importance of having the ability to air down your tires for much improved offroad traction. We do it every time we head out for the trail. We also understand the necessity to quickly and efficiently air back up for a good safe drive home once your off the trail. There are a few different ways to go about an air system. You can simply install an aftermarket compact air compressor with one of our various mounting solutions or some customers chose to make a home brew setup which works great if you are on a budget. Co2 is often used amongst the offroad industry because of the simple fact that they pack a lot of punch when it comes to needing to be able to run air tools or re seat a tire bead on the trail. Co2 typically has a faster fill rate and is more portable(if you have multiple vehicles). Another reason for needing an on board air or Co2 system is for an air actuated differential locker. Whatever your reason if you need guidance on which route might be best for you, simply shoot us an email or give us a call at (509) 588-7800 and we would be glad to share the pro's and con's of both setups.
